SHIBA INU
PUPPIES
SHIBA INU
Our kennel is dedicated to preserving the heritage and quality of the Shiba Inu breed through an unwavering commitment to health, temperament, and authenticity. Build on my years experiences of encountering and working with multiple Shiba Inu breeders in Canada, I focus on promoting NIPPO standards of this breed which preserve the nature of Japanese breed born with unpretentious elegance and dignity. Partnership with Cumulus Shiba, our breeding program focuses on preserving one of the original bloodlines rooted in post-World War II Shiba Inu preservation. With the support of veterinary institutions and animal health professionals, we provide comprehensive health management, including regular nutrition assessments, specialized veterinary exam, and enrichment through natural environments. Puppies at both kennels enjoy a balanced life, with ample time to explore the outdoors as they were meant to, as well as introduced socialization in urban settings. Our goal is to raise Shibas who exemplify the breed’s true spirit and are ready to bring companionship and joy to their future families.

Genotypes of breed advancement is our goal on the path to breed preservation
The following points provide a general reference regarding how price matters in the advocacy of breed advancement:
-
Breeding Pairs
-
Each breeding pair is selected based on their pedigree charts, physical traits, breeding history, and temperament. There is no price difference between different pairs, but prices are based on the extent of advancement of each individual puppy.
-
-
Colour and Coat Pattern
-
Possibility of colour in Shibas: Red > Black > Sesame. Price might be impacted by colour possibilities, BUT
-
Different colours and their related standard coat patterns can impact the potential level of breeding difficulty. Not only the right colour but also satisfactory coat patterns are needed to meet the current breed standard and advancement.
-
-
Physical Standard and Advancement
-
Puppies of all prices will inherit desired physical traits from at least one parent. Prices will range from low to high following three criteria:
-
Puppies who show desired traits inherited from one parent.
-
Puppies who show desired traits inherited from both parents.
-
Puppies who show desired traits that combine the characters from both parents or exhibit advanced traits of their own.
-
-
There is no price difference between males and females, but the degree of masculinity and femininity in males and females, respectively, will impact individual prices.
-
Temperament and Nature of Shiba Inu
-
Temperament is also highly related to environmental stimulation. Our goal is to preserve the nature of this breed while introducing them to a modern pet lifestyle.
-
Puppies of all prices will inherit temperament and trainability traits from at least one parent. All our Shibas have over 8-generation records to ensure stable temperaments and a suitable level of trainability.
-
Price will be determined based on the balance of their independence, loyalty, fearlessness, and trainability (noting that these traits can sometimes conflict). Temperament that naturally located in the middle of the spectrum might be higher in price.
breeding right & show family
As a show handler who started as a pet owner, I am delighted to introduce dog show opportunities to anyone interested in working with their dogs in any type of event. We warmly welcome show families to join us and enjoy the rings! Breeding rights will be shared between us and the new families. However, we wish to retain control over breeding decisions, collaborating with experienced breeders for breed preservation or in cases of humanitarian exceptions.
